Friday's here

friday  One more week gone of this year, it’s hard to believe we are into the middle of August already.  Wow, I need this ride to stop so I can get off.

It’s been a very productive week for me, I have tackled some things on my “to do” list.  It has felt good to be productive and see some changes around here.  I spent most of Wednesday, rearranging and cleaning the main level of my home.  Feeling a bit more cozy now that I have added some color….RED!  Since putting the house on the market, it has been a bit drab for me.  I am use to all my junk treasures being out and lots of colors and texture.  However, that hasn’t been the case for awhile now and it has been getting to me.  It just didn’t feel like home.  Granted it still isn’t how I would love it, but it will do in a pinch.  Hubby is adamant about not putting any unneeded holes in the walls, etc. So I am having to live with  ugly bland here.  OK.  And for anyone that knows me, bland isn’t me.

Yesterday I tackled sorting out my craft area downstairs.  Imagine my surprise when  I realized just how much junk supplies I have.  As I was packing things away I kept asking myself, Am I really going to move this?  I may never finish that area.  But I made a good dent in it ….that is HTC Evountil my knees and legs and back started giving me fits.   Nothing a little Ibrophen couldn’t help.

Ya’ll I have to share my toy with you.  Last Saturday hubby ran me all over town to find my new  phone.  It’s a HTC EVO 4 G.  Honey, this thing will do everything except my dishes.  I feel like I have come into the times now.  My old last phone was nothing fancy and only did the bare necessities.  And that was fine with me, but over time I started caving in and wanted something that would/could keep me in touch.  I am LOVING this new phone.  I may never know how to use most of the functions on it, but with my kids help I might just learn how to use a few of them.

The weather here is still a bit overcast, we got some much needed rain yesterday.  It was wonderful.  This morning the skies are still overcast with some more rain in the forecast.  I hope we get some more.  I am enjoying this rainy days in the house.  Guess I am weird like that.  I feel like these days are a preface for fall.  Which I can’t wait for.  Every year I get so anxious for fall, and I think the older I get, the more I love it.  I LOVE everything about the season.  Although because I HATE the cold, I will miss the summer warmth.  Not the super hot days, but the warm, pleasant days of summer.

Anyway, I need to scoot, got quite a bit on my plate today.  So need to get at it.

Hope you have a very blessed weekend.

  1. Hi Cindy, like the new phone :) We just sold our 'fancy' Nexus One phones because we really never used them... as much as I wanted to be in the 21st century I realized I don't really need it right, I don't call anyone, no one calls me, I don't text much! It was a waste. I think when Kristen gets older and needs a phone we will look at them again.
Hope you have fun with yours. Have a great weekend.

  3. Hi Cindy! Wow - what a phone! I did get your text, now I need to text back so that you can have more practice.

I love adding touches of red throughout our home....it really pops things out & adds so much warmth. Now that it seems more homey to you, maybe those buyers will notice too.

Hope you have a blessed weekend Cindy. Love you!

  6. Cindy, It's been forever since I've been here to visit! I'm catching up now!

I love your new phone...we have Sprint phones and I've been eyeing that one, but because we use the family plan and don't have internet I can't splurge on myself like that! LOL We have five phones on our plan and to have internet would put us in the poor house! LOL

I love that you have the Bible Gateway verse on your post, I'm going to have to figure that one out!

I just finished decluttering my house a little bit...not cause we are moving, but just cause it felt good to get rid of some 'treasures'! LOL I have one last laundry basket full of stuff to take to Goodwill that Haley decided to 'unpack' for me so I need to get that taken care of then I'll feel like my house is good to go for a little while! ;)

    HUGS
